i just reinstalled bf 1942 but it won't run the screen turns black and then goes back to windows. w/ a window on the upper left. o and it worked b4

i have win Xp
9000 pro w/ omega 3.8 drivers
duron 1.3

BF1942 doesn't like refresh rates higher then 60Hz. You need to enable all refresh rates edit this file VideoDefault.con which is in your settings folder. You want to change this line so its a "1" renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0

Not really I had the same problem a while back, had to find a solution myself.

If you patch BF1942 in the future, you might have to edit that file again or you won't be able to start the game.
