Can't get UDMA to work on my CD-RW

I have a 48X48X16 CD-RW. When I first installed it it was using UDMA, I noticed the other day when burning a disk that the drive was not quite going at full speed while burning. After doing some looking aound I found that the drive is stuck in PIO mode. I have WINXP Pro set to use DMA if available, but it just keeps it in PIO.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I may be able to do to get this fixed? Thanks.

As long as your OS HDD isnt on that channel, try uninstalling that IDE channel in device manager. Then go up to the tabs and SCAN FOR NEW HARDWARE. It should reinstal everything. If that doesnt work, try a different cable, or a different channel. Maybe try another PC if you can. Good luck.
