I was hoping that I could get a mobile XP in my car computer. How low can the voltages go on these mobile chips, or the super xp1700's? I don't care if I have to clock down to 1.2ghz, I just don't want to have to go with VIA. If i get one of these, I could get a decent video card and play games in my car.. muahaha!

Now, this will not be used while driving, just in case anyone was worried.

well.. from the research ive done lately on overclocking and whatnot.. i came across a lot of voltage information...

the lowest i could find was 0.925 core voltage....

you cant go lower than that or the mainboard will not recognize that there is a cpu. the 0.925 core voltage was achieved by an L11 bridge mod

L : : : : C
11

: open C= closed

now.. i do not know exactly how stable the system was.. but anyway...

go there for the full chart of L11 bridge mods...

I've gone down to 1v on a XP1700+ JIUHB DUT3C (1.6v default), but I dropped the speed to 500MHz. I know mobile chips routinely drop their voltage to 1.2v (but they also drop their speed). I think that with a good mobile chip/DLT3C chip, with good cooling, you could get decent speeds on 1v stable.
