the tbirds come in two different bus speeds. the one is 200MHz and the other is 266MHz right? now, would a 200 tbird be better for overclocking or not? i mean, if you don't want to do that L1 bridges trick to unlonk the multiplier and just want to do fsb oc'ing then it would be better because you can raise it more than with a 266 tbird. i would like to know if my "theory" is correct. thanks

no ,a 266 would be better , I mean they would be faster either way you went , but why would you want to not unlock it?
well is up to you but if you unlocked one you could always go all the way down to 200fsb if ya wanted , but if you didnt want to unlock the processor I think you would be able to go higher with a 200fsb processor just because the clock multiplier would be locked higher.

Go with the 266fsb T-Bird. They overclock well and you can always run higher fsb with it.

Get a T-Bird that is coded "AXIA" they have great ability to overclock, and I believe the L1 bridges are already conected on the AXIA so you don't have to mess with that.

Search www.pricewatch.com for AXIA and you will get some vendors that have them. And for gods sake check the vendor out with www.resellerratings.com before buying from them, try to find one with over 30 responses and a rating of 5 or higher.

yes if not ask to see the chip and you can read the code off the core.
