Hey.. Im new to the overclocking world and I was wonderign if someone could tell me what I can expect from overcloking my T/B.
I have a asus A7V-E mo/bo
200 fsb
512mb PC 133 ram
Geforce2 GTS

I noticed that I can increase the multiplier in my BIOS and the system operating speed... will this do the job?
Also I heard of a thing called goldfingers... is this worth the $40?
Is increaseing the core Voltage dangerous...
Whats the easiest safest way of doing it
Lastly how do I know if my T/B is a AXIA or AVIA or whatever (could someine explain that 'Y' stuff etc)

Any help at all much appreciated
Thanks. Dermot

the AXIA or AVIA and the "Y stuff" refers to the code printed on your cpu core, im sure someone will post a really helpful pic that describes it. find out what yours is and go here (http://www.athlonoc.com/newsteppings.php) to see what you can expect.

Of course I will post a good pic.
And by the way, those 1giggers 200mhzFSB are a screaming chip if you have the right stepping code. See sig.

P.S. did you unlock the processor? watch the heat with the voltage going up too.
