Is there anyway of figuring out the temp. of a PC without having to reboot and go into bios? also whats the best program to get realtime processor speeds?

mbm5 is a great program for measuring temps and voltages in real time (I think it can aslo do realtime cpu speed checking).

wcpuid is a good program that has a realtime CPU speed checker.

Since you have the Abit board, check your Abit disk. You should have the "WinBond Hardware Doctor" on it. I like to compare MBM5 against WBH doc.

Dude my Hardware Monitor from Winbond displays surface not core temperature. you can prove if this is the situation on your board because they are all different by going into the bios after looking at HM. Go with Motherboard Monitor 5, it has real time CPU temp voltage cpu usage fan speed, whatever you want and you can make it translucent so I becomes a part of your desktop instead of tasking it over. Just saying because I was fooled into a false sense of achievement by my 28C Load Temps. Something about 5000 RPM that can make you want to believe the temp :).
