which is best between the 7n400l1 and the 7n400 pro for overclock, and what speeds can I expect on air cooling:p

running a thbred 1700+ currently @ 2000+ on a KT4 Ultra, won't overclock stably with this board any further than this

The Pro is the one to get, just make sure it is the Pro and NOT the Pro 2.
It will depend on how good your 1700 is but you will manage a very nice OC on any of the NForce 2 mobos regardless of model or manufacturer. As I said the Pro is one of the better Gigas as it gives you more Voltage options and also you can change the multis in the BIOS.

Thanks Jarhead,

but I am curious, how high can the voltage go for the cpu and what multipliers are available.

I am being told that the soltek and the abit multipliers are available in all ranges and the voltage to cpu can reach 2.2 without any mods

hoping to hear back,
