Is this good for sealing waterblocks?

Specifically, I have a swiftech 5002 block with one of the screws broken off inside the aluminum housing. I'd like to seal this block, but not permanently, with the remaining 9 screws.

It seems like thermostat gasket maker/sealer would be good for making a gasket between things that have anti-freeze and water flowing inside.

that sounds like it should do the trick. RTV "form-a-gasket" is a great, non-permanent sealer, too. It's available from any auto-parts store.

Just an update. The thermostat gasket maker worked perfectly. I've been running water through the block for a week now with no leaks. I did remove the paper-type gasket that the 5002 originally used to seal the top and bottom together.
