Hi
You must have set the FSB somehow, perhaps the P4S800 has an option to overclock without showing you the FSB.
If you are at 3.1gig you are running 240FSB already. Go into BIOS and look for a "user define" option in the CPU settings.

May I suggest you try this:
Look in the box that the motherboard was shipped in.
Locate the manual for the motherboard - it is titled "P4S800 User Guide" it has a green boarder on it's right side where it says "Motherboard" in large white letters.
Open the manual and go to page 45.
Go to section "2.4 Advanced Menu" it is at the bottom of the page.
Study the screen shot of the Advanced BIOS and read the option descriptions on the next page - (46).
HINT: Make sure the CPU Speed is set to MANUAL!
If you tossed the box and manual already you can download it at:
P4S800 (http://www.asus.com/support/download/selectftp.aspx?l1_id=1&l2_id=15&l3_id=21&m_id=1&f_name=e1298_p4s800.pdf~zaqwedc)
Good Luck!

LOL Yep, RTFM :D
sorry, kinda off topic, but how is your cpu overclocked if you didn't change the fsb? is that one of those crazy motherboards where you can set a X% overclock?
This is a funny topic, LOL :D
