OK, i bought a new PC with Albatron GF FX5600 Ultra (Sorry, i haven't choise). I installed 45.23 drivers. All was working perfectly with AA8x etc, but when i installed the new official 52.16 drivers from nvidia.com, all games just crashed. When i try to play Max Payne 2, it crashes and PC don't response to anything. With other games like Halo and BF1942 is the same.
Somebody can tell me what I do wrong ???
Thank you!
P.S. Don't blame, that i didn't buy ATi, i haven't choise...

Try reinstalling, but before you reinstall your drivers, make sure to uninstall the 45.23 and any other existing nVidia drivers you may have on your rig.

I have to agree.
you must uninstall everything you old drivers left behind.

there are also apps like detdestroyer that will remove things that you may have missed.

do a quick search on some nVidia fan sites, they will have something for you.

The fact that you have Win XP shouldn't have anything to do with the link functionality. Try it again. It's coming up on my end.

In guru3d.com isn't DetDestroyer for Win 2k and XP, only for 9x and Me... crappy... :(

Give this one (http://download.guru3d.com/detonator-rip/) a shot... Detinator R.I.P. and Detinator Destroyer do pretty much the same thing.

Be sure to follow the instructions on the webpage. Reinstall the 52.16 drivers after running Detinator R.I.P. That ought to fix your problems.

This is crap!
I uninstalled 45.23 drivers, rebooted PC. Then, when I try to run Detonator R.I.P., pop up some freakin error. I tryed to download a new one from other sites, but result was the same. I installed then 52.16, the same problem!!!
But why I can install 45.23 on 52.16 and it's works just fine? DAMN...

When you go to run Detinator RIP, reboot Win XP into Safe Mode. Then you should be able to do a complete wipe of all your nVidia drivers.

I just red at guru3d forums, that some people has the same problem, but with more powerful ultras. It's a heat problem and it isn't VGAs fault, but 52.xx drivers fault. Well then... I stay at 45.23 then...

I use the NFR (nasty file remover) to clean up after my installs. If you use it, you go ahead and install the new drivers, then run the utility and remove the left over files. There were 6 or seven when i upgraded to the 52.16's and they definitely had an impact on performance and functionability. It available from Guru3d also.

nope! That didn't work. I better stick at 45.23, they aren't so bad...

I installed the 51.75 detonators. They rock! I have increased score in AquaMark 3 over 3k. That's just great, i haven't tried 3d mark yet... Halo also runs much gooder.
I'm happy with 51.75. No Heat/Fan problems at all...

Lol!
I noticed, that I have ONLY 230W power adapter!!! I bought 5600 Ultra with new PC. I just ordered the 400W one, hope it'll solve 52.xx problems, becouse when I run Halo, the game crashes and I restart PC, and then WinXP tells me, that my VGA has power problems (with 52.xx drivers)...
