bf1942 texture problem

the problem is most of the textures in the game will be transparent. only a few of the models show up, mostly tanks. flying an invisible plane or chopper is interesting, this problem occurs in normal bf1942 and the mods. ive tried re-installing a few times and the problem remains. has anyone else run into this?

i tried taking some screen shots but they wouldnt save, imagine a barracks, but the only thing you can see are the lockers, thats what it's like

Happened to me a few times... ever try defending the DC weapons bunkers.. when you can't see the bunkers or the vehicles.

On the plus side it let me see all the incomming colition and the entire opposition area while safely inside the bunker. I had plenty of warning when a SpecOps was gonna run in the door and I was ready. And I didn;t see any of the vehicles unless I was in it.

Only happened like once or twice though... restarting the game fixed it

I know that happens with the new nvdia forceware drivers. if you have nvidia try going a driver version back

Yep, I had the same prob when I installed the 52.16's

ok this is a driver problem, the newest ati drivers, catalyst 3.8 cause it, my buddy with an nvidia had the same prob when he installed nvidias newest drivers, gg nvidia and ati =/ , all is fixed now, i rolled back to the 3.7's

ok bad news, the problem is still there, the game just fooled me

my system specs are 1.2ghz amd tbird/512mb of ram/ radeon 9000 128mb/win2k

im on the catalyst 3.7 drivers with dx9

ive tried using older versions of bf and i have the same problem, ive also tried re-installing, right now i have the 1.5 patch for bf installed. and bf is the only game that i have that has this problem and it just sprung up recently, help is appreciated

edit: the game is fine when i first join a server, but when i hit start and spawn for the first time, thats when the problems start
