Well it looks like Newegg has changed their ads for the NF7-S. They've always just had it listed like you have in the first product discription, with the 200/266/333 FSB. But I've bought 2 NF7-S boards with the first discription, and they were both rev 2.0 mobo's (with 200/266/333/400 FSB). So I'm a bit confused too. I'd call them back and ask them specificaly which board is the rev 2.0.

I did, and they said they cant tell me. The best I got out of them was the second one with the 400 FSB "is a newer revision".

I want to order my computer today. I have called them twice now, and get the same answer each time. Feel free to call them if you are phone savvy and can talk the spicy wings off a buffalo and get me some info :)

Well then I'd just go ahead & get that one. I think they have their pics of the mobo crossed up. Like you said, the pic of the 400 fsb one doesn't have the holes around the cpu socket. And on the rev 2.0, the 400 fsb one, it does have 4 holes around the socket. The 2.0 version is the newest NF7-S board that Abit has put out as of yet.

Ok, well I called again and they checked when the pictures were updated and they didnt switch the pics. They also said the pics are of their actual stock so what you see is what you should get. They then told me that the one listed 2nd IS a version 2 board (But the pics dowesnt show screw mounts for the HS). Just my luck, when Im ready to hit the "BUY" button, there is a problem. Im gonna try and call the manufacturer.

They then told me that the one listed 2nd IS a version 2 board

Then I'd just order that one. I still think they have there pics crossed up. Because that pic doesn't have screw holes, so therefor, that pic isn't of a rev 2.0 board. But if they tell you that it is the rev 2.0, then I'd order it. If when you get it it's not, send it back to them and tell them that's not what you bought. I'v done buisness with Newegg for the last 2 years and spent thousands of $ with them. I don't order much anywhere else, because of their outstanding customer service. If there's a mix up, they will make it right. On the very few times I've had a problem with any hardware, they've always made it right very promptly.

Ok Ducker...Im putting this one on you...if it doesnt come out right, its hunting season!

I hope you are right about the pic just being wrong. They seemed pretty sure it was right, but everything I have seen says that revision 2 boards have the mounting holes around the CPU. Only time will tell now.

 :p

But they did tell you that it is a rev 2, even with that pic? So if you ordered that, you ordered the rev 2 board. If they send you anything else, send it back and tell them to send you what you bought. Relax, you'll get the rev 2 (maby eventually ;) ), I'll stake my tail feathers on it. :D

the second one wich is the only one in stock is the one to get.
Chipset: NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400 with MCP-T
its useing a newer "ultra" chip.
dont know why the change and abits site dont mention it either.
that photo has been used ever since they started selling the first nf7-s
you should get a v2 or mabey even a newer one.
i hate the silicon image sata raid chip and ill prolly buy an ide card over it but ill try it again.

i need to buy a mobo tonight and if a deal in the classifieds dont fill it im buying this new version myself.
i had the old ver2 and its a damn good mobo.well i hope this is a newer version.just be carefull on bios flashes with all these versions as they need differant bios's.

this is the link to what i think ill buy just so we dont get the 2 mixed up.

this is what is written on my order list i just recieced a confermation on my order.

is a v2 at least,i would like more info on this "ulta" change in the chipset tho.

well you will get yours first.
i have to mail a MO to newegg as i dont use a cc.

im sticking a xp2000 thorton in it when it gets here.

this will be my 3rd nf7-s
rev1.2 ,rev2 ,rev2 w/ultra

nice. Im building my sig. definently keep me posted about noticable diffs or anything else you find handy info. This is my first nf7-s. First Abit even.

all v2's are ultra 400 boards. "ultra 400" is the name for nvidia dual channel 200mhz fsb chipet.

there are three main chipsets on the nforce2's:

1) ultra 400: 400mhz, dual channel capable. found on the nf-s v2, a7n8x deluxe v2 ect

2) non-ultra 400: 400mhz, single channel. Found on budget boards such as the asus a7n8x-x

3) umm, the older chipset lol. i dont know it's "name". Basically its the 333mhz certified chipsets found on the nf7 v1.2 and below, anything below v2 asus a7n8x ect.

hope that clears it up a little:)
