My 1.4Ghz won't overclock , I put the vcore at 2.07 and it wont boot into windows I tried alot of settings even 1450 .Still won't boot into windows at all bah it sucks the L1 bridges are closed yes its unlocked but I duno why i can't get past 1400mhz can some one help ? My temps are 42c Idle and 46 load with Global Win WBK38 fan.My watercool won't drop these temps much more only about to like 39c at idle and 44 load so i figured why put my water cooling system. If any one knows of a good fan and hsf in the 30-50 buck USA range plz post that too thx all.

hmmm Is your power supply amd certified? even 300watts may not be anough. I've heard that the antec 400watt powere supply is pretty good

sorry to hear,
do you have another power supply? you could hook one up to the mobo and the other one to everything else.

I have an aopen PSU and it works great. It actually made for a P4 but it is also amd certified. Does your PSU say AOPEN on the PSU? The fan on the back of my PSU is HUGE compared to my generic 250 or even a 300..

wow i reached 1550mhz yippie. I could reach 1587mhz with my 1.2 I can hardly reach 1553mhz with a 1.4 this is gay.

I am sorry to hear that your 1.4 oc isn't working well but give it some time and I am sure you will get more out of it. are the temps too high? what is load temp and vcore?

Temps are 28c for the motherboard and 45c for the cpu at idle and 48 at load.

From what i heard is that all cpu's AMD made from 1 gighertz to 1.4 is the same chip . Amd just overclocked it and sold you a 1 gigertz chip thats all.

lmfao no if amd did that no one would buy a 1.4ghz dur dur well thats just what you heard.Im giving facts. Any ways my comp gives me blue screen 0028 error code every time i play online how nice and my dad spent $700 on a new mobo, processor, psu, hard drive,mm lets see in the last month I REPLACED EVERYTHING except my HSF lol.... wow my comp is great it gives blue screens etc... the comp store duno how to fix it either this rocks gogogo AMD or what ever is causing the problem. The 1 thing i didn't upgrade was my psu I went to a turbolink psu 300watt from a no name psu 300watt.I think i better go get a psu my dad is going in hock cause of this crap and CC bill I think its time to get a job to fix my amd.

Hey! Lets insult the guys who are trying to help us! Sounds like fun "dur dur" Have you looked at the o/c reports of people with these chips? I've seen 1.33s at 1.7 and hmm 1.4s at 1.7 weird no? Oddly I've also seen 1.2s at 1.7 and golly 1.0s at 1.7 so what's that tell you? People must be really incompetant that they can't o/c above 1.7 if their special and unique chip is running at 1.4, is oddly unlocked, and maxxes out at 1.7 (stable)

Actualy what Me is saying is pretty true. This is something that has been going on since the pentiums. All the thunderbirds are based of the same architecture. what AMD does is find chips that are better produced and can run higher and sells them at that speed to convincene the buyer that he or she is getting a faster chip. Why do you think you see so many 1ghz athlons reaching 1.5ghz and a lot 1.4ghz chips barely reaching those speeds. Im not saying that buying 1ghz athlons is just the obvious way to because a 1.4ghz cpu gaurantees you those speeds while a 1ghz doesnt. Not only is good cooling afactor but not as much of the luck that you got a quality chip. Think about it... A bright light may turn on in your head as it did to me.

Ok heres the deal. When AMD makes chips they make the same chip and then test it and whatever they find as the stable speed which of course is very modest. While they are manufacturing these chips they make improvements to the chips, ie: steppings. That is why most AHJYA chips are 1.33's of 1.4's, and most 1.0 - 1.2's are AXIA. So the 1.4 is a better chip than the 1.2, usually. That however is not always true. In your case you have a power supply that is probably a little weak, and i think those temps are a little high. Maybe you should upgrade your water kit a bit and use that. 48 isnt that bad, but is that F@H or just a game that you think stresses a lot. Those temps are not always that accurate. My advice, upgrade your PSU to say an Antec 400 or Enermax 431 and upgrade your water cooling and install that.

Yea well I think my watercooler is fine I just gota make sure i don't get any air in it when I put it together again.I gota definetly get a good PSU name brand like antec , enermax, sparkle etc... 400+watt I duno why my crap gives blue screen during games im puzzled.
