i would like to know how much a tbird costs in other countries. here, i can get the 1.4 for about 236$, the 1.2 for 120$ and the 1GHz for 105$. how about you.

note: those prices are converted from Greek Drachmas (grd) to dollars so they may not be so accurate. i think the fault isn't more than 5%.

That sounds about ight in US dollars. I'm assuming those are retail prices? I just bought a 1.2 266 for $120 retail so that's what I'm basing it on. The price for the 1.4 seems a bit high, about $40 too high. If your talking OEM priced then they would be roughly 15-20 dollars cheaper than what you have listed here in the US. (Exept for the 1.4, that seems way off from US prices, I can't be sure though, I don't really know what the 1.4's go for)

I got my AYHJA T-Bird for 170ish before shipping from iCompz. Dunno how far they offer shipping, but it was pretty decent for an OEM 1.4 AYHJA, at the time.

Right now, it's not overclocked at all. I don't have the monitor or speakers yet, so I'm waiting to get fully immersed when it's "totally, totally" together. I did borrow a monitor for awhile. I had it running with a 140fsb w/ an 11.5 modifier for a 1610, but it wasn't that solid. I just wanted to see how far I could get. Booted into Win98 just fine, but it was still at stock voltage (I'm guessing that's a large part of the problem), and it didn't last too long. Was so excited, I didn't bother taking a pic of WCPUID. I was/am afraid of raising the core voltage as the board is reporting pretty high temperatures. Once I get the monitor in and can run the box full time, I'll be waiting for around a week to see if the temp. situation slightly improves. (Had a slightly uneven coating of ASII that I'm hoping will even out). If not, I'll reapply the ASII, and go for broke. Then I'll probably get scared I'll break it and back it back down. The highest I had it stable was 1540 (140mhz fsb * 11x cpu multiplier) at stock voltage. Was very fun to tinker with for the few hours or so I was doing it. Thanks about the sys, by the way. The wedding's mid-September. I'll be sending out invites. We're already expecting a baby Duron though. :-D

I've found newegg.com has very good prices and the shipping time is fairly good. I think you can call to find out chip codes too.
