Hi there

I am using a vapochill case which keeps my 1.4Ghz AYHJA 200FSB CPU stable at 1820Mhz, at the moment I am using Artic Silver 2.

However because Artic Silver supposely only starts to operate above 40c, is it performing properly in a vapochill setup?
As the vapo reports my temps as been around -6c to -2c underload. So if the core is truely operating at these extremely low temperatures, then is the Artic Silver 2 doing any use?

So my question:-
1. Should I use Artic Silver 2 or STD Servicol Heat sink white compound for optimal performance?

Thanks for your help.

According to the Arctic Silver II specs, it'll work between -40C and +160C, so you'll be fine at -6C. Keep on using it :)

Oh yeah, here's a link to the specifications sheet: http://www.arcticsilver.com/as2.htm

Hi there

Have you got an email address for the Nevin person please?

Here is alink to my benchmarks over at www.AMDMB.com:-

If some one can tell me how to include pictures and links in a post, I do a post over here of my benchmarks with my Tbird @ 1820Mhz.

I have been in contact with a person at Michigan State University who is using Arctic Silver at 87 K in a cryostat. Arctic Silver outperformed all other thrermal compounds tested. I don't think you need to worry about using Arctic Silver with your Vapochill.
