I finally was able to get my dads old Athlon 500 up to a blistering 750 1.7v. It had been running great at 700 for a year but it wouldn't post above 700 at any voltage. Now it will post at 800 and runs great at 750. I am using a crappy heatsink with a good fan but I'll borrow my friends alpha and see what it can do. 800 wouldn't be a bad goal for a classic Athlon 500.
