its not really a megahertz war anymore, AMD has the better CPUs at a better price, they just have to win over the market.

I wonder when the 1100 will be out. I have had my beta version since the release of the 600. I bet anything that the 1000 duron will cost more initially than a 1000 athlon.

Cool, I'd hope this means that AMD will be releasing something big pretty damn soon to keep the Tbirds (Palominoes hopefully) an attractive alternative. By pushing the durons to the milestone of 1GHz they're gonna risk forcing their own high-end cpus out of the market - who's gonna shell out for a 1.4GHz athlon when you can save 100 or so bucks and still have 1GHz bragging rights (biig difference from 950MHz bragging rights I reckon).
