This 1999 ADEA, Malay socket A has no cuts in L1. L3-4-5 & 7 do. Is this saying the Athlon is unlocked already. Will certainly have to change cache ratios to go faster, right? Darn was easy with the 800 Durons, unlocked and went right to 950, so thought This cheap used 700 Athlon would be a cake walk. Want to do as much as possible before mounting KK266R and CPU. Save wear and tear on old knees and back.

If the L1s are all connected, then it means that the chip is already unlocked for you :-) All you have to do is change the multiplier either through some dip switches or through bios, whichever one you have.

Are any Duron 800's unlocked?

yes your chip is already unlocked...supposedly all NEW chips coming out have been manufactured with the L1s connected
