well. Left my computer off overnight (was testing heat pipe vs. lapped AMD stock copper core HSF, and got tired in the process) So, go to start it up. Loading windows, locks up. Try again, same result. Vcore, which is wire tricked to 1.7, shows at 1.66 in BIOS... normally shows 1.68 I think. Turn the FSB down to 173, still no go. Have to turn it down to stock, and after about 10 minutes it locks up again.

Also, I had it stable at 172 at 1.65 vcore (stock)... best it can do at 1.7 is 174...

i dont have much of an answer for you, i had a terrible time overclocking my unlocked 2000+ pally on this same board. modifying the fsb seemed to only end up in horrifying, surreal bouts of insanity trying to get the thing to post after many attempts.

(see my thread about resetting the CMOS... rofl)

here we go.
board powers the CPU off of the +12v rail.
my 12v rail is at 11.45v.
problem found. now we just wait until shuttle releases the larger PSU.
