Does anyone know how I can go about connecting to aim through tunneling. My problem, I uploaded to much this week at rutgers, and after that they automatically stop your outside traffic for a week. IDK how i even uploaded that much, I didnt have any filesharing programs running or anything, but I did have spyware when i ran adaware, possibly that could have been it. Anyways, the only internet access I have left is ssh. Rutger's blocks x-windows sessions as well now, so ssh is my last hope for this week. Right now I am accessing this site through a tunnel. Well web browsing certian sites is ok, but I can't get AIM (aol instant messenger) to connect. I made a tunnel for oscar.login.whatever, but aim has further connects after that. I can get the addresses of those ips aim is trying to connect to, but I can get aim to point to tunnels after the oscar.login. I tryed gaim, but same thing. The only other thing I can do is use a proxy, but I have no luck at all finding free proxies.

Well here's Rutger's rules, I cannot share anyone's connection, even though that is the easiest. I cannot us anyone elses IP. I cannot vpn anywhere. The only access I have to internet is through 2 shh accounts I have. My question is there any way I can tunnel a connection to AIM, or are there actually any free working proxies I can use. It's not a big deal, I have access to OC-forums and whatever site I add, and i can just use dialup, or a friends computer. But i like having AIM.

Well, it's only until thursday midnight im banned, but it's fun anyway finding work-a-arounds.\

oh yea, i have windows xp.

omg its horrible, im stuck using AIM quick buddy. IDK how I can live for 3 more days. :p I would say I could still play CS on lan, but wait, Steam doesnt let you plan on lan without internet access anymore.
