What is good ram timings i see 2 5 2 2 alot however my system wont handle that by default its set to 2.5 8 3 3. Would like some input on the subject.
It really depends on your motherboard/chipset. 2-5-2-2 is generally considered to be the tightest timings you can use. Intel's i845 chipsets did allow 1.5-5-2-2 in some cases, but it rarely worked and offered no gains in performance on these chipsets.
If 2-5-2-2 doesnt work on your system, download a memory testing program such as Memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/) and gradually tighten your timings, testing each time for errors. Although you cant reach 2-2-5-2, you may be able to get 2-6-3-3 or do better with more RAM voltage if you can increase it on your motherboard.

I can increase my dimm voltage but its kinda lame its overvoltage and can only go a total of .3v overage. HAHA i couldnt get 2 5 2 2 before but now my system will take it without any errors i pass the memtest
