What is the 500 mhz bus speed it is my fsb *4 or what is it that determines this? Also this was done on a asus p4b mobo with pc 133 sdram that is running at 166.7mhz with 2-2-2-5 timings
i have also used sissandra cpu burn for a total of 7 hours with a max temp of 51 using a zalman 7000cu hs

looking good, but you really need to increase the resolution of that picture on your page, as it's impossible to see at its present size...

Ya you have to right click and view image but i will work on it right now

ah see it now.

yeah that 500Mhz is the quad pumped system bus, the speed of the link between the CPU and Northbridge.

tried Prime 95 yet? http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm

I've often experienced failed 95 torture test where Sandra gave no errors at all.

Im going to try the prime 95 test tonight thanks for the link shiyan.

How about you go see if non-synthetic benchmark / burnin programs are stable? Go play a few hours of UT2K3 or something.

that's good advice. there's actually no single program to guarantee that you are indeed stable.

it's just that Prime 95 is a good place to start.

Ive been playing midnight club 2, Starsky and hutch, neverwinter nights no probs and havent even got my temps past 50 with the zalman 7000cu even when ive been playing my guitar with a realtime processor would usually get very hot cause it uses 100%load no problems.Does the ut2k3 demo push the system cause i really dont want to buy the game??

yes, but any game will do. just whatever games you play that loads the CPU to 100% is good.

I think Chowdy was just giving one example.

I had heard that ut2k3 also came with a benchmark tool though was wondering if that is what he meant.

yeah, probably.

If you want that game then by all means get it and have fun with it, but just don't get it for stress testing perposes when there are so many free programs for that.

ok i downloaded the ut2k3 demo and played for a couple of hours and also been playing apocolyptica and it seems like a pretty resource demanding game got my temps to 53 in 2 hours havent seen temps like that since i installed the zalman, and the system is still stable no b.s.o.d havent had time to run prime yet though but i will.

Very impressive, i maxed my 1.9 out at 127fsb =2.41 and that was when it was about 30f outside. got my proc temp down to about 50f and still couldnt push it any further. sounds like a great overclock on a willy, congrats.

i went a little further with it last night and managed 17*130 to hit the 2.2ghz rangewith memory running at 173.7mhz with 2-2-2-5 timings after that i could go no more it would b.s.o.d no matter what i did except for overvolting mem , but 18 hours of prime and 6hrs of mem test as well as many games being played the 17*125 166mhz memory works well my temps only hit 53 during the prime torture test here the new cpuz results with 130*17

i have my 1.7ghz at 124fsb so its just over 2.1ghz
my rams at 165mhz 3,3,36 havent tryed and tighter

i did just over 75hours on prime 95 with no errors

works sweet as a nut

i cant seem to get any faster im at 1.85 volts
acual = 1.79

i have no idea how to get it stable at higher speeds

I couldnt get by 17*118 for a long time then i had a ram chip crap out removed it and up it went try pulling that 128 stick and run 512 and see if it changes also set memory to spd then change if it boots
