If you wana make sure you'r overclock is stable I know most of the more experianced here know about this. You would have to overclock you'r cpu see if it posts fine no errors or lockups then see if you can install windows from a clean format on you'r hard drive or over your exisiting windows. If it installs that means your overclock should run sweet ,unless you'r temps are like @ 50 c idle then this trick couldn't guarente you'r cpu stable.

Next subject : I wen't to the store in the neighborhood and the guy is selling a ENERMAX P4 Power supply 460watts ,do they even make 460 watts , Enermax ?
Would this PSU do well for my AMD 1.4 to achieve higher speeds ? The psu he has 1 of them and its the only psu over 330 watts he has , its $89.00 plus 8.25% tax .Will this PSU if I buy it help me overclock my 1.4 to 1.6Ghz+ because I can't achive with even max voltage or ram and cpu 1530mhz Stable.I currently have 300watt POWERMAN psu which is certified by AMD.Btw tomma my 1.33Ghz will be here from retail box that AMD owe's me for my 1.4Ghz its a 266fsb all my CPU's are 266fsb.Im hopeing for AXIA-Y or AHYJA stepping from the 1.33 retail box i get from amd tomma.Thx in advance for all the help guys and gals.

Might help you , might not, many other things could be stopping you from getting your fsb any higher, If you know your PSU is holding you back then I would get it, If you are not sure that is the problem then I would wait, and narrow down the possability's to find the problem, on the other hand if you have the extra $90 to spend, then go for it 460w is always better than 300w, POWER<POWERahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh more power hope this was helpfull.

you would probably get more hits if you posted this in general hardware seeing as how it pertains generally to your psu

A few comments: the Enermax 465-VE (I believe that's what you are referring to) is a nice one. I just purchased one, and it has helped out a little, but I think my main problem is this crappy AVIA Y I'm dealing with. Still, you should know that this power supply is rated at 431 watts, not 460. Also, I too had a Powerman 300Watt unit (from an Inwin s500 case), and yeah, it did hold me back.

Welcome to the Forums, StarTresh! I hope you have a nice experience here!

I too have that Enermax 431W PSU... It's sweet. I don't think it will hold me back until I go dually...
