I have an Asus P5A-B AT motherboard with an AMD K6-2 300A. I was wanting to know what are the avg temps on that CPU. Right now it is overclocked @350 mhz with a Volcano /// heatsink. I am worried that the bios might be giveing me wrong reading because I am getting a CPU temp of 90ºF. I'm sure its wrong because I took the heatsink off and it only felt like 70ºF.
Thanks in advance for anyone and everyone who helps me.

I'm not sure about Fahrenheit because most of us use Celsius for measuring temps, but I had a K62-400 and it seemed to like to sit around 60 C. I think 70C is the max for those chips.

That is around 140ºF are you sure about that? I would think that to be a very high temp but, if its right then I am way under that I am only running in the range of 32ºC - 35ºC.

My old K-6 II @ 500 MHz measured at about 31C/88F at idle

Don't worry, I'm running a K6][ 550 on the ASUS P5-A with temps arround 41°C to max 61°C (Think this should be something around 135°F) So no cause to wonder... Keep on rolling, very good tem, I think :)

my K6-2 500mhz runs arround 35 to 45 C And it still works stable so I think your ok. If it ever hit 50C I would panic and change some things arround on it. But I guess it's ok where it is now.
