So when the 1.5ghz palomino is released, can i just put it in then?

yes the Palomino supports a voltage of 1.4 right now. Almost all socket a motherboards support the Palomino, but you wont be able to use the diode. In the future it helps to do a search. This is exact same question was asked only about 2 days ago.
