Hey guys, I need more voltage to let this bird fly and didn't save the link for the page that explained how to mod the L7's for more voltage. I mean even .1 more volts would do. If anyone can remember how that works I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Connecting the L7 bridges via a number 2 pencil will yield 1.88 volts.

Goto www.tomshardware.com for more info. I believe he has a chart showing which bridges give which voltage.

The best thing to do is change it in the BIOS if you have that option.

Thanks AMD guy, I already have the voltage at 1.85, just wanted to know if I could get more via the L7"s. Without doing surgery on my board. Any other responses would be appreciated

Do the surgery. I did it and it worked great. Got my 650 Duron to over 1000Mhz.

I submitted a write up a week or so ago. Ed is working on it so it should be up in the next couple of days I would think.

Which chips will this trick work for? Will it yield 1.88 for the 1.33ghz t-bird? How do you actually do the pencil trick? Do you just barely touch the pencil to the connections or do you rotate the pencil and actually apply a little pressure? Thanks.

yes i think it will get the tbird 1.88 volts too
i m not sure for that but to apply the pencil trick u find a pencil(preferably lead pencil or mechanical pencil) and draw a line connecting the two connections points u need to connect....
