maybe you are looking at an ambient temp?

maybe ,it says cpu temp 21 C and system or mobo temp as 26 C
in both motherboard info and cpu info.

I think I know your problem, I had the same kind of temp results before I bent my thermister up a little bit so that it actually touches the backside of the processor. (I also applied a tiny bit of AS to the thermister).

After this I started getting 'real' temps - i.e. significantly higher in other words.............

the thermister is that thing in the middle of the slot right? if so you are right as i did bend it down slightly thinking it is up too much,so thats what that is! you learn something everyday! thanks thingi
