I just ordered a Hydor L30 pump which has the 1/2" connectors and I plan on getting a black ice micro radiator. Will I be able to use 1/2" tubes w the 3/8" connectors on the micro? Sorry for the newb question.

You can get adapters that will go from the half inch to the 3/8, but that would restrictu your flow a heap. You'd be better off getting a half inch rad.

Get a chevette heater core from auto zone. Your wallet will thank you.

I got a chevette, and its easily the strongest part of my system. My pump is probably the weak link, because my vc block is so restrictive. Back to topic. The chevette can be got for under $20 and its far better than any radiator you can buy for under $80.
