Hey guys, I wanted to remove the 80 mm fan on my front panel, its real whiny when its on high speed and has a weird sounding low-rumble I cant quite describe. Anyways, i am going to replace it with a evercool 120 mm aluminum fan. I am going to cut the 120mm hole on the inside metal part of the case but on the plastic front, im thinking of either leaving the original 80 mm wire fan grill and drilling some holes to form a radiating pattern, like a spiral, or just a series of holes in a pattern of circles getting bigger from the inside, sry, i cant make pics now but u can try to visualize what i want to do, what kind of drilled hole patterns should i use or should i just cut the 120 mm holes on both the inside AND outside of the case. also gimme some other ideas to tackle this case front bezel dilemma. I also want it to look good, but a monstrous 120 mm fan guard wouldnt exactly look cool....
im thinking of doing the drilled ventilated holes instead

Another thing that looks good is mounting a car air filter on there (usually mount it to the metal that you drilled for the fan, and have it protrude thru a hole in the front, put some nice trim around the plastic too).
