Just got my Duron750 + Soltek SL 75-KAV + 300W PSU + GlobalWin Fop-38.

I've OC'ed a little before, but I wanna make sure I don't fux this chip up.

From what I've seen in the CPU database, 1.80v seems to be the usual requirement for voltage @ 1GHz.

Now on my mobo the multiplier is set by a jumper, and the Vcore is set in the BIOS.
So should I set the Vcore to 1.80 first, then shutdown and set the multiplier to 10.0x?
Or the other way round?

And since I don't wanna overclock the FSB (my mem is pc100 :/) is that all I need to do to get @ 1GHz (theoretically).

Any comments/tips would be appreciated.

Also FYI my case cooling consists of
1x90mm IN
2x40mm IN
1x50mm IN
1x120mm OUT
+ the 90mm on the PSU, and a 40mm sitting on my vid card.

Easy young grasshopper. Take your time. If I were you, I would start out slowly, taking it one multiplier at a time at default voltage. Increase the speed, test for stability using applications like CPUstability test and Sandra, and then increase a little more until unstable. Then you could up your voltage, while monitoring temps using MBM5. Since you have PC100 memory and don't want to up your fsb you would just use the multiplier to go faster. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

yeah and not all make it to 1000Mhz. :(
