View Full Version : [SOLVED] 1.2 temp
I am running my 1.2@1.4 seems to be fine
temp is
mb43
cpu 62
is this ok or too high
please advise as i am new to this
cheers
now that is hot beavis my 1.2@1.4 is running at 43 underload! you need more casefans or double check that you are using thermal compounds.
Depends on what mainboard, what temp monitoring method and if the temp you gave is idle or under load!

Give us a little more info.
1. MOBO and bios ver.
2. What are you using for temp. monitoring? MB5.0, Bios temp, etc.
3. Room temp.
4. Number and lcation of case fans
5. Type and make of HSF
This would help to try and figure out what is amiss.
m/board is asus a7a266
my case has 2 fans in it plus 1 on vid card
room temp is 18 degrees
i have 256 mb ddr ram 2100
i am using a prog called hmonitor ver 4.022pro
from www.hmonitor.com
i have been on net for 2hours and m/board is now 40 deg and cpu is now 56 deg

Asus program for temp.and the probes are notorious for giving false readings. They as much as 10C off. Try Motherboard Monitor and see if there is a difference.
Asus Probe was way off for me I was chasing my tail trying to lower temps.
I am now using MBM here is the link
http://mbm.livewiredev.com/
wouldnt any program just report the temp the thermistor read?? I have pcprobe, MBM5, and BIOS all giving the same temp, i dont see how they could read any differently...
Ah... but you didn't mention AsusProbe!!!!!
Therin lies the problem.
