P3-750 to Duron 900 ?? Worth it ??

Ok, Im sure you've heard lots of these posts but I've got a few questions.
Will I notice any improment going from a Pentium-3 750 to a Duron 900?
I will upgrade the cpu again once the palimo?? comes out. Would the 900 smoke the 750?

about equal, remember, even thou its a Pentium3 coppermine, you said 750MHz which means a 100MHz FSB and that would make up for the duron's less amount of cache.

Even if the Duron is faster, it wouldnt be physically noticable.

p.s, why not get a Duron 1GHz?? There only $119 CAN. cheap!

Duron 1ghz? Show me that listed anywhere. ANyways, the Duron CAN do 133 system bus, you just need to manually set your bios to do so. I think the higher-throughput would make a huge difference in overall performance. I went from a dual Celeron 433 setup to a Duron 650 and immediately noticed the difference. Then overclocking the 650 to 1100 REALLY made a huge difference:)

About equal?? the 750 with a 100FSB speed, making up for the Durons less cache- sounds like your saying the Duron dont have a FSB of 100 and it does, can can do 133-and even thought the duron hass less cache its on-die i believe. So it'll still smoke the 750-150mhz i very noticeable in my opinion. I went from a slot 600 256kb external cache, to a 750 with 128kb on-die cacne and it is WAY faster than my old 600-half as much cache but it is on die and a 150mhx faster-Plus he Duron will give ya a hella OC

I think the Duron is faster but I would hold out for a Palomino or just buy a 1.2 athlon right now. The $50 now for the 1.2 instead of the duron make keep you from having to upgrade later. Remember the Palominos won't be all that much faster and may not overclock as well.

my p3at 800 is equal to my duron at 800 same thing! I would go with at 1.2 type c tbird for 101 bucks from tcwo.com it is the real deal and will go to 1.4 adn you will notice the speed cuz it will be twice as fast!!

my p3 800eb@800 is slowed than my duron 750 stock in my opinion
after overclock it's even faster!!
