I'm planning on heading into town (I live way the heck out in the boonies of British Columbia) on tuesday and buying a 1 gig Axia. As I'm afraid I chipped the corners on my current duron 600 and it now randomly locks up.

My question is.... Can I run a chip rated at 133 bus on a KT7-RAID mobo that's rated at 100?
I ask this because I plan on (maybe) upgrading my motherboard when Nforce comes out. But I need to upgrade my CPU now, and don't want to have to buy ANOTHER CPU.

My Seccondary Q is.... what's the best batch (core code) for a 1 gig Tbird I can find. I don't think they're making 1 gig AHYJAs yet are they?

Any help you can give me would be great!

Thanks,
Duan de la Duron (Maybe Axia after this)

AVIA or AXIA with the y code on the 3rd line. I think you can run it but maybe someone with more knowledge on that will answer that question.

oh yes you most certanly can instead of setting the multiplier to 7.5x133 it would simply be 10x100 it wouldn't perform as well at 100 fsb because the cache speed and your memory speed wouldnt be as fast but it would work. and it would still be a rocket

I'm grabbing it at sneakers computers in Victoria.

I only go to Vancouver a few times a year... If I was I would be getting it at Atic (atic.ca) or a-power (a-power.com), they have the best prices in BC (that I've found).

I am currently running a 1 gig AXIA/Y 266 cpu at 1365 on my KT7-Raid. It will work just fine.
