Ok inside this forum we talk about 1ghz 2 ghz CPUs =) but what about a littel AMD K6166 that want to say more?
Go for the overclock!
System:
AMD K6 166
TYAN TITAN TURBO AT-2
ATI 3D Rage 2
16 Mb Ram SIMM (sigh) =)
SB AWE 64
HD Quantum 4 GB
I spent 60$ and I taked 2 dimm of RAM PC133 (256 MB)

First Step 66x3...
On... Loading FreeBSD... all is OK! 2 Hours of test and... NO PROBLEM!
Windows... OK

Second Step BUS at 75 Mhz x 2.5
On... All works fine =)
Windows OK
FreeBSD ok

3° Step BUS at 83 Mhz x 2.5 ... 207.5 MHZ!
FreeBSD OK! 2 Hours of test and no problem!
Windows 98... Crashed during boot..
Damn! The CPU wasn't the problem because BSD works fine...
Uhm... and what about the HD? Under FreeBSD the DMA mode was disable and all works fine.
Ok I mounted a "new" HD a Seagate Medalist 1.0 Gb! ('96 =)) Installation... bla bla bla... ON booting windows and... ALL WORKS FINE! ok the problem was the Quantum 4gb...
I mounted the quantum as a secondary master ... ON booting windows and... OK I tried to copy some files from an HD to the other but there was some problems :\ I went inside the control panel and I disabled the DMA mode...
The overclock is end and now I have an AMD K6166@207.5 83.2.5! =)

P.S:
Excuse me for my BAD english

P.S.
If I use cpu idle the system is VERY instable with crashes every minutes without it there aren't any problems

You might play around with wpcredit and wpcrset from H-oda to improve your memory speed.
