Hey Guys you have never let me down. My Spouse Ver. 2.0 wants me to transfer some of her own songs from cassette to CD. I have the CD burner but need recomendations for a decent Cassette player to input them to the computer..
Thanks in Advance
Bob
I'm sure different brands and models would work well. My Technics RS-TR575 is a few years old and it does fine with some quality RCA cables. I would only consider doing this with a player that has Dolby Noise Reduction.

Nakamichi makes fine tape decks, or at least used to. Does ANYBODY make tape decks anymore? I think Dolby NR really stifles the high frequencies under many circumstances.
The deck will likely be more important than the interconnects (cables). The Nakamich Dragon

is legendary, but more for recording. If you want to have legacy support in your HiFi, getting a used one is the ultimate solution to a nigh-dead issue. It'll cost you a bit, so maybe something else from one of the better manufacturers like Nakamichi, Revox, Denon, or something. I personally avoid Sony and the like.
A good used tape deck can easily be had for $200.

As far as I'm concerned just about any tape player will do as long as it plays the tape :p But really I doubt you need to spend that much on a tape deck. Just get a tape player and run a output wire to you PC. That's what I do with my old old old MZ R55 MD recorder. It may be old but it's still pretty :)
