The k6-2 multiplyers are not locked.

You have to modify your multiplier through the jumpers. I haven't yet heard of a Super 7 board that can do it through software or bios.

The above two are correct. You have to adjust the multiplier by way of jumpers, if your motherboard supports it. The K6 line of CPU's usually don't "like" a High FSB. You'll need superior cooling than was available when the socket seven platform introduced, although you can use just about any hsf for a socket A provided that you have adequate clearance.
I've had good results with the Global Win FOP32's on the FIC VA503+ board.
Post more information about your components, motherboard, CPU etc.
Watch how deep you get into that socket seven platform, with the declining prices on the first and second generation socket A components, you can build a much better performing system for less than upgrades to the older platforms. As well as having a viable upgrade path for the future.
Research, the key to a successful overclocking experience!
Good Luck.

The K6 IIīs arenīt multiplier locked. So, just change the multiplier with jumpers and add some more voltage, those Cpuīs really thirst for energy :)
They donīt like high FSBīs so donīt even try anything above 105 or so
All of the above are right. You need to adjust the jumper or switch settings on the board and they (mine at least) don't like high FSB speeds.
Also, if your chip is 100 * 5 or 5.5 already and you want more but your board doesn't have a clock multiplier setting above 5.5 just set it to 2.0. The lowest multiple designed for K6II's is 3.0 and when the motherboard sends a 2.0 signal to the CPU the CPU translates that to 6.0.
Hope that helps.
