View Full Version : What Via drivers can be installed on Windows XP

The Via 4in1 v4.32 can't be installed it wont detect VIA ide thing for it ,it says no driver installed for it.So what drivers can I use for winXP for my AMD chipset EPoX 8K7A mobo ? Does any one know a program for startup in win2k/XP ,I have all these annoying things starting up at 1nce.

did you try msconfig i dont know if it is a part of xp because i just got my trail copy and i havent installed it yet but its worth a go

A word of caution with XP, a normal M$ product has bugs, but a trial version has things we have no idea about. My M$ girlfriend has a few thought about O/Cin with XP...wait. She is a test engineer for XP and recommends against it. Do you have RC-1 or RC-2, 2 may work, but it is still a beta product from ole Billy Gates, tread lightly. I took RC-2 off cause of stability and conflict issues, you may have the same.

hmm food for thought i have rc1 and it wont even get past the login screen after install on my wifes k63 450 /w tyan trinity 100at mobo and via chipset. i havent worked myself upto putting it on my sytem yet but i must say i am bit nervous though i finally got this thing humming on 98se
