Ok boys and girls.... I have been benchmarking my system....

I am using 3dmark2001SE Build 330 to do this....

I have my graphics card on 277/500 and here is my link to the project..

I have direct X 9.0B installed..... Everything is on default...

Come on guys what can i do??? i want 9100...

I cannot overclock, my motherboard does not have the features.....

I believe that you're fortunately mistaken.
In your BIOS, change "CPU Host/SDRAM/PCI Clock" to something like 150MHz, the chipset and CPU should be able to handle this speed no matter what your cooling setup. This will give you 2.85GHz. It's a little boost, but maybe you can get more, depending on your memory. Speaking of which, you might have to slow the memory multiplier on some other BIOS setting.

This MoBo is also supposed to have some sort of "auto overclocking" software included on its driver disc.

If you can't overclock, can you tighten your memory timings? That should help to some extent.

Thats odd, seems low to me. At 250/400 I get over 9000. I broke 10000 at 275/520.

Yuriman, your CPU is much faster and you have a good bit more bandwidth.

Excelsior, your motherboard does not have overclocking options in the BIOS? MSI usually includes at least FSB selection. They also have a program made specifically for their boards that lets you overclock in Windows. Check into that.

Information update everyone... My motherboard is OEM...... So i have a set about things i have.... the only option i have is the FSb...even that i have 2 options

1) 100FSB
2) 133FSB (default)

I did...but it does not work.... and it only works on some motherboards...not all...

can you overclock your video's ram or core any higher? that should do it

I cannot overclock my video RAM any higher.... At the moment i am at 27Mhz than stock. How high can one of these babies go???? I don't want to increase my card anymore incase i make it blow...

it will artifact before it blows :D u dont have to worry about it blowing up or anything unless u are running the core 80+C all the time even at idle

Overclocking your card wont make it blow, the worst thing that would happen if you go too much is that it would freeze and require you to restart.

I have tryed the MSI software 'Fuzzy Logic 4' and 'CoreCenter' none of them worked.... I clicked the auto feature and the 'Fuzzy Logic 4' program just had some indicator running.... IT did not do anything i left it for 4 minutes.....

'CoreCenter' on the other hand was doing a similar thing but it showed the FSB supposily going up even tho my clock frequency did not change.... I set it to 140FSB and their was no difference in clock frequencys..... I even ran 3dMark2001 SE and i lost 89 points....

If it helps... my motherboard is an MS-6533 with the lastest BIOS from the Medion website http://www.medion.co.uk/

If you are woundering why a Medion website, they are the company i bought it from.... They built this machine...

I have used SoftFSB and the motherboard is not listed....

Ok now, I am pushing the limits of my graphics card.

I have broke the 9000k barrier to 9070k Marks :).......

I need more juice....

if you need more juice just get a new mobo and cpu and sell yours :) but that card is pretty slow so dont go expecting more than 11k marks

Ok boys and girls, i have got the flagship moving, i have OC'ed my CPU to 2636Mhz.... :).... going to try a benchmark now :)

Th0r

Ok i did not run the benchmark at 2636Mhz, so i went to 2706Mhz instead....

here are the results....

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7212866

I've upped the Mhz to 2854Mhz.... CPU temperature holding at 35C

ok you must have gotten soft fsb to work :) still 10k on a radeon8500le and sub 3GHz p4 wont be easy. can you oc the core of that 8500le?

Th0r

Yes, i have been doing that....

Ok another update.... I had to pull back the CPU to 2799Mhz.... 147 x 19....

My computer was restarting randomly.... but i have nearly their....

Not bad..... got 1000 more points than i first started yestaday :)
