Thanks in advance for any help,
Stay away from the I-Buddie with the VIA proccessor or anything else with the VIA proccessor if your going to do anything other than office, light gaming, or watching DVD's.
The Desknote's are realy supposed to be just portable desktop versions and as such they don't have the best battery system, is external and only good for about 30 minutes if working heavy. About summs up what I've learned over the last year.
Toshiba Portege 7200, P3 600, 128M/12G/10/100, from FOXFORCEFIVE in our own forums,.
Bud, if you want a laptop to do what you are looking for you are least looking at spending, oh close to $1,500. Thats what I picture some close too top of the line dell, when you way it needs some "balls" Now if all you need is some internet machine that can do coding, run ms office, and play RTS games, and watch dvds on. Then you are looking at around $800 if you watch the refurb section at dell.
Might want to check this out for $700 I found it at http://www.techbargains.com/
