1533MHz Palomino vs 2000MHz Northwood.
Which one will be faster?

At first, I think the Palomino and Northwood will tie just like before but then Intel's Northwood will beat the sh@t out of Palomino in MHz because it's like .13Micron I think? , anyway, with .13Microns, Intel will scream for 3GHz. Then again, AMD's core is alot better and thats why there faster when comparing 1.7GHz Intel vs 1.4GHz Athlon.
But not to worry, AMD has the thoroughbred to bite back!!
.13Microns, I'd love to overclock one of those suckers.
could you imagine how much intel would charge for chips if they were actually better than AMD's. P4 would cost a thousand dollars! Intel is not producing .13micron chips for sale for a while too.

I believe they're going be called barton not thourghbred - and they're gonna be fast as hell!
Depends on the IPC of the new Intel chips... Palomino took steps to increase the IPC of the chips over the TBird, but the TBird *already* had a higher IPC than P4 so....
I'm sure somebody will buy one and bench the hell out of it when it first comes out :-)
