this one wasn't planned though. my roomies friend asked me if i could fix his computer for him. windows wouldn't boot. machine would post switch over to windows and right before it loads the GUI (shows the winxp screen with the bar going back and forth) it would flash a quick BSOD with no lettering and then immediately reboot. i didn't feel like troubleshooting this buecause it was pretty odd. so i reinstalled windows and now he folds.
also overclocked him a little bit.

hehe i just did the same thing with my buddys system. I built his system free of charge (at least money wise) but now he folds 24/7 gwa ha ha.:D

Would it be possible to integrate F@H into a Windows XP CD, rather like the way people have integrated SP1 into their Windows XP Cds?

hmm im not sure, i just have a bunch of apps that i install from one of those usb drives, and i have one-click on there too so is a simple and effective prcoess.

not sure what was wrong with windows. it would boot up then once it loads the GUI a blue screen would flash and it would reboot right away.

Sounds like corrupt memory or something to me. I woulda tried poking around in Safe Mode and running a few diagnostic proggies.
Anyway, as long as he is up and running (and folding) all is good.
