Hey,

We've got a contest going on on the Front Page here at overclockers.com....

No, no...you don't win some EL wire, it's what you've done with EL wire that might let you win.... ;)

For more details, check out this article here, on the Front Page (http://www.overclockers.com/articles867/)...

Cheers!

I'm amazed....

A $50 gift certificate to Directron up for grabs, just before the holidays, and NO takers?!?!?!?1?

I'll take the ones I've got here and do something different with 'em if you guys don't.... I think I'm eligible.

(I am eligible right? Even though it was my article that prompted the contest? I can win, can't I?? Please? I'd really like to..... I could win this with one hand tied behind my back... HEY! That's IT!! I'll tie one hand behind my back with the EL wire, and take a picture of that for my entry. HMmm...wait....it might be hard for me to take a pic of my hand tied behind my back.... I could use a MIRROR!! Yeah, yeah....that's it...I'll use a mirror...:D )

sorry for such large images..I took 2 so you can see better what i did. If I ever get the time...er...um the gumpsion to do this mod over I think i would have used wireloom first then wrapped the EL wire around the loom instead...I have tried wire loom to clean up wires, but it looks as bad if not worse than bare wires.

it took 3 sets of wires to cover all of these wires and took about 1.5 hours to do. Also I have noticed that EL wire either gets dimmer with time or I somehow got 2 different brands..dunno looked the same packaging...anywho should have bought enough EL wire to have done the mod all @ one time :)

Going to close this contest now. I'll review all entries in this, the thread in "Alt. Modding", and those sent to me by e-mail, and pick the winner.

I'm going to put all entries into a "gallery" of sorts on the Front Page. The winner will be announced in that article, and then here and in "Alt. Modding" as well.

Thank you to those who submitted an entry!!! You showed a lot of creativity with this product. Well done!!

Cheers!

Thanks again to all who entered, and to Directron (www.Directron.com) for sponsoring it.

It was a lot of fun, and I hope we can do something like this again!

Cheers!
