from what i have heard, it is not a terribly reliable PSU if you are unlucky, and is quite loud. But if you want that cool black look, then go for it :D

also it is designed for servers, not single proc mobos

I would take a 530 Fortron or an Antec True Power 430-550 over the Vantec 10 times out of 10. I'd consider the Vantec a good deal at 50 bucks, at 80 you can do better.
