I have a 1200 tbird type b axia (100FSB), what can i take it to? what cooling is best? tried it at 1300mhz got very unstable, i dont know whether i have to adjust voltages etc
The motherboard is an Abit KT7 Raid board
All help would be greatly appreciated
You probably need a good heatsink like an SK-6 to take full advantage of overclocking. Most people are hitting 1400-1500 with good aircooling. I have seen water cooled 1.2s up to 1.6-1.7. Water cooling is expensive and time consuming so I reccomend sticking with air untill you really know what you are up against.
yeah you should try her at like 10.5x133 I am sure she will run fine at taht and you will have a neat start at 1400! go higher with the multiplier if you can but watch your temps adn then go fsb.

I read these forums for awhile after i got my 1.2 gig,, I was able to overclock it to 1400mhz stable by changing the multiplier to 10.5, also I didn't even have to up my voltage. I was pretty happy, My temps hover around 47 idle to 51 after playing tribes 2 for hours on end. But this is using asus probe which i think is 10c to high,, anyways its stable so i know you can do this with no troubles
