When I run the FSB at 147MHz or above, the computer starts to take FOREVER to load into win2k. I mean, I think my hard drive or somtin is crappin out or somtin cause everything else seems fine but disk loading begins to get really slow. Also, I've tried every VIO between 3.3~3.9V. Has no real effect. Anyway, if anyone knows a cure I be greatfull.

p.s - I planning to get a 60GB Maxtor Hard Drive eventually, would this newer drive help?
My old hard drive is a 5400rpm Maxtor 5.1GB.

A vio that high will kill your computer, when you say sluggish, I say unstable, tone it down a bit or mod like a madman.

also check to make sure that the PCI divisor is not out of spec too far- but yes Trance is right that is a high IO

If it's acting sluggish, it's more likely not a hard drive problem, but rather a memory timing problem. Increase your memory latency timings and you should see a marked improvement in response. Unless your memory isn't up to task.
