Greetings All!

Here's a quick question....

I just finished building out a KK-266 w/1.2 Ghz OC'd to 1350 (9x 150Mhz)... with this configuration I can run Torture Test in Prime 95 indefinitely without any errors... I can take the system much higher than this but begin to experience round out errors and sum out errors in the torture test although most of my apps seem to be behaving and no init or BSOD errors...

Are there other applications to test reliability and would you take the system past the point until you began to see errors in Prime 95 Torture? I can easily boot to 1.4 and past on a high bus speed but again Torture begins to fail everytime pretty quickly.

What do you think?

Thanks,

---Doomed.

in the real world i.e. when you're gaming and using apps, if you dont experience ANY...and i mean ANY problems, then theres no reason why the CPU shouldnt run that speed or higher if possible...live for the now.....however, remember, if prime95 does show errors, it could quite possibly mean that running at such high speeds can reduce the CPU's lifetime...if you plan on keeping the CPU for 6 months or something, itll be OK at high speeds....just try whoppin up the vcore to see if it eliminates the errors.....try some 3dmark 2001 loops for about 8-10 hours, if theres no errors, keep on rockin!
