ok I've only been hangin aroung here for a few days but I am hella interesteda..anyway I have noticed alot of talk about axia..and other 'codes'. can somebody explain these and how I know what mine is..also, how do I unlock a cpu its a slot a athlon classic.

AXIA is the stepping of the CPU...
it is printed on the second line on the core of the socket A CPU's
The AXIA is a core that will do 1.5 GHz most of the time some do more ,some less....
You have to get a goldfinger card to unlock your cpu.
when you take the cpu out of the plastic casing you will notice that thier is a connector for something to attch to on the CPU's PCB. That is were the goldfinger is put.

ok where is it located on a slot a cpu...and can i use a goldfinger on a slot a? if so where do i locate one?

You wont find the AXIA code on the old slot Athlons only the Socket A types..and you can only use the GFDs on slot Athlons. Check this out for a good review on eight GFDs.
