Any input on which one to get? Does anyone know the speeds of a 9800SE? Thanks.

the 9800se means slow edition. if you mod yours, itll become a full 9800 but some wont mod and beware the 128 bit ones, those even modded are a little better than a 9500 pro

Well I know it's slower, but shouldn't the 9800SE have 8 piplines enabled though, wouldn't that make a difference, cause a normal 9800 has significantly faster memory than the 9600pro, so I was thinking maybe a cheaper version of the 9800 would ahve slightly faster mem speeds, would anyone know the exact speeds?

The 9800SE has only 4 pipelines enabled. It uses the same GPU as the 9800, though, and can sometimes be softmodded to use the other 4 pipelines. So, stock, it's probably a little faster than a 9600 Pro if it has 256Bit RAM. Softmodded... It should be as good as a 9800 NP.

Cool, thanks, cause basically the two costs the same for me, the real ATI 9600 pro and the sapphire 9800SE, so I'm probably gonna go with the 9800SE and test my luck. THanks
ive heard 'real' ATi 9600 are made by saphire o_O

All newly manufatured 9800SE's have 128-bit memory interface, and it's going to stay this way most likely. SE has a consistant meaning of halving the memory interface transfer in ATI cards. 9200SE and 9600SE have 64-bit memory interfaces, and 9800SE have 128-bit memory interfaces. For $150 you get an OEM card that will perform slightly faster than a 9600 Non-Pro 128MB.
For $175 you can get a 9600XT OEM.
