new buffalo pc3700 came today from newegg - It was BH-5! not Micron! with no heat spreader I got 227fsb out of it at 10-2-2-2 @ 2.8volts (faster than 6-2-2-2), but the abit multi problem (no 9-10.5 multi) makes me keep it at 11x223. (for now). This did geive me an extra 35mhz on the barton as well, from 2420. I have an old pentium heatsink that is perfect for the NB, perhaps after a good lap it will get me over 230fsb. My roomie ordered the same buffalo @ the same time and also got bh-5, no info on his o/c yet. best part - $50 per stick! seemed to come from some warehouse in new jersey not california as usual. I'm in virginia - maybe only this half of the country can still get bh-5 buffalo from newegg? Newegg just keeps getting better...now I can get my stoof as fast as you punters on teh left coast. :P

Not ot burst your bubble or anything but the 256mb sticks were always $50.00. The 512mb were the $99.00 sticks, either way I hope more get in stock but I doubt it. Buffalo themselves have said they have stopped manufacturing those due to lack of BH-5 chips.

I saw that at Newegg also. It just said windbond, so I took the chance and bought 2 stix. When they arrived, behold BH-5 chips!!! Hot dam!!! :D  :D

Just went back to Newegg & checked, they're back again! Hope they're still BH-5's. I ordered 2 more stix, I'll let you know after I get them.

*Edit*

When I went to check out, I could only get 1 stick. They're out again.

actually, they were 62 dollars when I bought my 512 sticks (which I love :)) and it seemed more logical for me to buy 2x512 for the dual channel loving lol.

Wow!!! That stick of Buffalo I ordered yesterday.....just got here, like only 24 hours after I ordered it. Man........now that's fast service! And it's got BH-5 chips to boot. If only I could have gotten that second stick. But I'm wondering, how would my NF7-S run with three sticks of this stuff. I know Abit says that you can only run duel channel with two sticks, but what the heck, I'm going to give it a try.

The ones who got the BH-5's which size RAM did you guys order, the 256MB or 512MB. I plan on ordering the 512MB sticks today or tomorrow.

Edit: I just noticed there are 2 versions one with part # DD466-512MC and the other is DD466-512. I am assuming the MC stands for Micron, ugh too bad the regulars are sold out. :(

I ordered the 256 and it was BH-5...I think the ones on ebay that say "winbond" will be bh-5 since they are priced different from the ones that say "micron"

I got 2x256 for $50 when newegg got them back in stock for my brother's new rig, and when i checked them they were winbond. I have them running @ 200mhz dual channel w/ a 2.6c@250. The only thing is that all the benchmarking software says they are 2700 chips and not 3700. Is this an error or what? I got them to run @233 1:1 a little unstable so i assume that they are 3700.
