dealing with amd with warranty

has anyone delt with amd and their warranty getting an oc'd processer replaced?

Yep, sure have.... I fried my friends 1 gig t-bird when the hsf came off... Luckily he had a 3 year warranty on it. I called AMD and told them what happened, sans the fact that it was oc'ed, and they replaced it for free.

WHAT...i dont think that that is possible. They shouldn't have to replace it at all because it was not because of a faulty processor. It was due to misuse of the CPU. What happened to me was i increased the Vcore to much and it fried the CPU. At this point, after reading thier warranty on thier site, i dont think they are gonna replace it because it was my fault. How on earth did u get them to replace it, thats not fair!
